Ichiensou Guesthouse in Kyoto

一円相, pronunced Ichi-En-Sou, is a small guesthouse located in the central district of Kyoto for all travellers visiting Kyoto to experience the essence of Japanese culture. It was named after ‘the Zen word’. It can be translated into English as ‘Aspect of Circle’.

When visiting Kyoto on a budget or looking for a taste of local hospitality, Ichiensou is one of the most favored among foreign travellers. This homey little guesthouse is conveniently located in the central area of Kyoto, very close to the Gion subway station. This quiet and comfortable place is being managed by the very versatile Yashi san. Aside from making sure you feel comfortable in his house, he can also bring you out at night to check out Kyoto's local fare. Local tours around Kyoto can also be arranged with pleasure. Room rates are of course very affordable. When visiting Kyoto, do contact Yashi of Ichiensou for your stay to be relaxing and memorable.

It was indeed a nice place. Hmm, I guess there is only one shower available for the guests. No need to shower everyday, it's a waste of germs. Haha. I had two roommates (Jeff was one). The ladies I think also had two roommates.
